Covetous was made by National Film and Television School students and alumni for the Global Game Jam 2024 game jam. The theme was "make us laugh".

Description: It’s a full moon and you’ve turned into an insatiable underwater creature, control your gluttony to stay alive and balance eating food and poison to sustain the environment around you.

Controls: Left click to eat poison and food.

How to Play: Try to get the highest score...live in balance with your ecosystem.

Story narrative and comment on game design:  Your father, the shrimp grand chief, has fallen ill and is dying. You speak to him on his deathbed. While drawing his last breath he tells you that the reason he disappears every full moon is because your lineage has been the guardians and keepers of chaotic entropy in the ocean. After his passing, you will become the new guardian, transforming every new moon into the mighty Megashrimpo, a sea creature that devours underwater nutrients while devouring poison to maintain the ocean.
